My NYC trip went great! I bought probably my coolest item ever (+ a lot of less cooler items, but still cool), a real coyote skull from The Evolution store! I was amazed by that place. Why we just can’t have shops like that in Finland or at least in Europe?
I’ve been doing my thesis today. Because of my real work I won’t be able to graduate on the next spring. I could have, but then my thesis wouldn’t be that great and that doesn’t give me any profit. I want to do my best. I could post some sketches from that project later…

New Yorkin matka meni vallan mainiosti!
Spring is coming! I’m happy to inform you that all you lovebirds can now order wedding invites with my peacock pic from the just started, Finnish webstore for invites called Kutsupaahtimo.

I saw this kid on pinterest and I drew him to my sketchbook. He looks like a little fancy pants troublemaker.
Summary of my stuff from last year.
JANUARY: Nothing much. But I got a brief from…
FEBRUARY: ..young singer Dimi/Dimitra Salo who wanted covers to her record.
MARCH: Was a pleasant and enjoyable time with silkscreen printing and I made up this “Padre Muerte” guy. I was pretty proud of him, and I still am. I’m glad that I got a few of them sold at my school’s Christmas fair. Too bad that t-shirts with this pic didn’t last quite good in a wash.
APRIL: This kitty was made for After Effects course.
MAY: Sketches from my A3-sized sketchbook. I had just bought it.
JUNE: Originally I made this for dA’s cubism competition. After voting I was told by judges that it doesn’t quite fit in “cubism”, so it never got anywhere. Also one of my favourite works from last year.
JULY: T-shirt that I made for my internship place.
AUGUST: I started doing some drawing challenge and I failed…again. Maybe I will continue it on someday.
SEPTEMBER: Just an interesting test work from some of my doodles on sketchbook.
OCTOBER: Skull for my website (still working on that!).
NOVEMBER: One of the Christmas cards I made. At first I wasn’t that sure of that pic and I was hoping that I’ll get a better idea for the cards but time was running out and I had to do something, so I decided to finish it anyway. Suprisingly they were selling really good!
DECEMBER: Really, really, really busy month. And it still going. That’s why I failed with this Batman calendar thing. :-( But I’m still going to make the rest of them when I have time.
Small warm-up sketch with brush pen. I like rhinos, like all the animals with heavy structure (and without).
6. Let’s have some fun. Design a character from this character generator.
Body type: Medium, Medium, Clothing: Pirate, Head type: Bird-Like, Weapon/Accessory: Lantern
And holy human pelicans Batman! This really was fun! I was listening Flogging Molly non-stop to keep the right mood while doing this. Colours will come some day, what day, I dunno…
I’ve got a few new followers, hope you enjoy your stay!
Sorry for not being so active lately. My guy went to an army last week and I’ve been busy of feeding myself & getting fit. :-D I’m also having an artblock right now and since my internship period came to an end, and maybe because I feel like I gave my everything on my internship, I have just wanted to chill and play some games and do all the other stuff what I do instead of drawing. But I need to get back to working on my personal projects next week. For example; I’ve bought a domain months ago, but there’s still nothing on that site, that needs to be fixed soon. Anyways, here’s some quick big kitty cats I drew yesterday!
P.S. And ‘cause I like photographing I made Flickr account. There’s not much yet, but I’m uploading more stuff when I have time. You can find my photos HERE.
Bleh. I got too excited while doing this deer-thing and I managed to ruin it with over-loaded details (common problem for me), but hey! DA’s messengerbag challenge voting ends today/tomorrow, there’s still plenty of hours to check (and vote) mine if you haven’t seen it yet. Right here: dA. And for new followers; Welllcome!
I might have some problems with my Skyrim & Alice; Madness returns addictions, but yup, I’m still alive! Here’s a quick pirate kitty illustration I made for a school assignment.
Greetings to new followers!
I couldn’t sleep last night, so (at 02:00 AM) I started to make croquis drawings of my cats.
