Here’s a little something I made this morning. Just wanted to test things and try something different. I was inspired by Shane Prigmore and especially his Coraline designs. Damn, it’s hard for me to make something simple enough. The pose was just too stupid and odd in the sketch so I decided to change it for the final version.
It’s A-ME, when I was about 4-7 years old. I think I was very lucky to live around woods and rocks. I was adventuring in them almost every day so it is certain that I got a lot of little injuries. When I didn’t have bandages, I used birch leaves to stop my wounds from bleeding. My father used to make me bows from a willow tree.
And I’m going to NYC on the next week! How awesome is that!

Ja hei, meen ensi viikolla New Yorkiin! Kääk. Odotan kyllä jo innolla, että pääsen ottamaan kuvia paikasta.
Illustration I made for work. I’m not gonna give any more clues about it before it’s announced. More info then. :-) This was my last piece in the year 2012, click for little higher res.
I wish to you, my followers, awesome & creative new year 2013!
Itsy bitsy sneak peek of something that I’m doing for work. :-D It’s a fun project really! I will make a post about the illustrations in it when i’m fully done with this brief.
I’m trying to seek & edit the right mood for the photos that I took for school work.
Just testing a thing or two in photoshop.
I’m currently working on with my thesis. I have lots of books to read and lots of things to explore. I’m pretty excited about it.
Shit happens & er, I need practice with mah digital colouring & those hands, hrr. But good try!
Done. “Only” 35 layers! Still trying to learn to use backgrounds in my stuff. Clickity click for a little bigger version.
Playing with lasso tool is more important than sleep.
I suddenly got excited about my favourite season and then I started doing something Halloween related… BUT NOW, few episodes of Adventure Time and then to bed.
3. Draw a figure that’s in action, using a reference - link to reference
Perspectives like this are challenging but I enjoy “screwing” up with them anyway. Here’s the reference.

…I made it as a quick digital practise. Zatanna is definitely much cooler than this lame secretary in the reference pic I used for the pose. I admit that I was too lazy to do her tights.
Zatanna belongs to DC Comics.
