About

This is a sketchblog, or an artblog, or more precisely "what-ever-I-will-make-up-in-my-mind" blog of one visual junkie based in Espoo, Finland. I'm working as a full-time graphic designer for Rovio and I'm also in the middle of doing my thesis in the Lahti Institute of Design. I spend most of my time drawing, playing video games (I prefer console gaming), watching movies/TV, reading comics and hanging around in nature. And I don't regret nothing!

I own the copyrights to all pics, unless otherwise mentioned. Do not use them without my permission.

If there's anything I can help you with or you are just silently wondering something, don't hesitate to contact me via mail jenna.tahtinen(at)gmail.com

Daily Spitpaint. Little Hitman. Inspired by that creepy child-murderer movie The Good Son, starring Macaulay Culkin & Elijah Wood. This version is taken a bit further than that 30 min version I posted on facebook.(Jenna Tähtinen)

Daily Spitpaint. Old lab. This took a bit longer than 30 minutes, so I didn’t post it to the facebook site. This was wayyy out of my own comfort zone, perspectives, backgrounds ‘n’ shit. I used multiple reference pics with this.(Jenna Tähtinen)

Boy with Pangolin. This was for facebook’s Daily Spitpaint group. The point is to paint digitally from the given subjects in 30 mins. It can be pretty annoying, but surely improving. Pangolins are neat animals btw.(Jenna Tähtinen)

I really wish to be better what it comes to digital painting, unfortunately there’s no shortcuts. But isn’t this just a perfect friday, improving skills while listening/watching Da 10th Anniversary show of Les Mis? I made this for illustrationchallenge.com website’s jungle challenge but I missed the deadline day.Took me about 6 hours, is it still speed painting?
